Fideal, the ancient siren who conquers and drowns all her lovers, now found herself ensnared by her latest grand love. Pretentious, he desired a "Romeo and Juliet," a romantic tragedy, forcing Fideal to remain underwater.
Fideal nearly perished. Not drowned, a mermaid does not succumb to the depths. Fideal almost perished in the despair of that pretension. Wounded, fully aware that her self-love prevents her from loving anyone but herself, she freed herself from her tether once and for all and left him, never looking back, with words that could have been spoken, with gestures that could have been made, with the connection broken in the darkness of that bottomless aquatic abyss.
Fideal looks up, where she can already distinguish some of the silver light of the moon. From where she is now, it's always upwards.
